High Quality Early Childhood PreSchool Programs
Thank you for your interest in our school. The Little Chief Learning Station is a high quality, early childhood program, providing a safe and nurturing environment, while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of your children. Our preschool is a family run program, with two locations: Leonardo Campus and Holmdel Campus. We have been serving the community since 1992.
We offer preschool programs for ages 2 through 5 years. Children are placed into class by age group. The cut off date of each class is October 1st. There are morning or afternoon classes, two days (Tues./Thurs.) three days (Mon./Wed./Fri.) or five days per week. We can provide limited extended care before or after class. Lunch bunch is available. We limit class size to insure a low student to teacher ratio. Please inquire as to your child’s particular class size.
Our teachers are early childhood professionals, who understand and implement developmentally appropriate philosophy. We use HighScope Preschool Curriculums: Growing Readers and Numbers Plus, as well as many other aspects of HighScope such as daily routine and key experiences. Our organization provides CPR and First Aid training for our staff, as well as requiring continued education in early childhood education/development, guidance/behavior and health/safety.
We welcome you to make an appointment to visit our school and meet with a director. We will be happy to answer any questions regarding our program.

Preschool Programs in Holmdel and Leonardo
The Little Chief Learning Station recognizes that children are natural and active learners from birth and need a variety of hands-on learning experiences where they have many opportunities to interact with people, materials, objects and their environment. The concept of developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood Education outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) will guide the learning and will be evident in the philosophy, curriculum, assessments and learning environments.
Learning will support and be consistent with New Jersey’s Core Curriculum preschool standards for language and literacy, social-emotional, and physical development, science, math, social studies, creative arts and music.
